Audley, the developer's grandfather.
Oddly Audacious Apps is named for my grandfather Audley, a brilliant man, an electrical engineer who spoke four languages and was a chess master, and yet, because of the laws and mores of society at the time, had to scratch out a living and support a family by changing light bulbs in the NYC subway system for over thirty years. Here's to you, Grandpa…
Oddly Audacious Apps
Oddly Audacious Apps is a small independent studio that makes apps for field work, for teaching and for everyone. Our field tools work where there is little or no signal, and every app keeps your data on your own devices.
Now in beta testing
Our newest apps, HabitatLens, FaunaLens and SongLens, together with HabitatLens Desktop, are now in the hands of beta testers, starting with an Ecuadorean NGO. Follow along on our weekly blog. Want to hear when they are available to everyone? Write to us and we'll let you know.
Our apps
Fieldwork
Field-ecology tools for students, researchers and conservation teams. More at gethabitatlens.app.
How our suites work. The HabitatLens suite is made of independent apps. Each one does a useful job on its own, so you can start with just the one you need. Used together, they become even more powerful: camera-trap sessions from FaunaLens and recordings from SongLens flow into HabitatLens on the phone and into HabitatLens Desktop, where everything from a site comes together for analysis and reports.
